Ruben Amaro has struck again.
This time, I want to cry.
Amaro decided it would be beneficial to trade our best young arm (hamels isn’t a baby anymore) AND a top pitching prospect to the twins for Ben Revere, who is basically the same person as Juan Pierre.
We let Juan Pierre walk and sign for 800k elsewhere. Compare the stats of the two players and they’re similar.
At least we didn’t sign bourn for 80 mill.
I liked the cliff lee for Justin Upton idea. I liked the Michael Young proposition. I would’ve signed mike Napoli for 3 and 40.
But you trade your young #4 arm for the same type of guy you just let walk for the same price?
Ruben never ceases to amaze me.
